Training and Capacity Building
Training as the true catalyst for change, awakening every woman's capacity to build, decide, and lead
Training is the true catalyst for change
Every woman already carries the capacity to build, decide, and lead. Our training is designed to awaken that agency, not impose a framework upon it.
Through simulations, experiential learning, and mindset-building, we deliver customised business services grounded in women's lived realities. Women don't just learn how to run an enterprise. They begin to see themselves as someone who can.
30–35%
Average increase in annual household income
Among the women we work with, the result of practical tools, mindset shifts, and continuous support.
Who We Train
Empowerment is a collective journey. We build a cadre of change at two vital levels.
The Intermediaries
via TESTNGO staff, government officials, and community leaders, building a professional, resilient support ecosystem for women.
The Grassroots
via GMTWomen producers themselves, turning traditional skills into market-ready business acumen.
A tiered approach to excellence
Since 1992, we have grown from a “Training of Trainers” agency into a specialised resource agency delivering gender-sensitive, participatory training for government bodies, international donors, and grassroots producers. Our programmes recognise the distinct learning needs and literacy levels of intermediaries versus rural producers, never oversimplified, never overly academic.

Udyamoday
Our premier programme goes beyond technical skills to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit as a way of life. Operating at both management and grassroots levels, it aims to turn entrepreneurship into a national movement, fostering agency and leadership among women.
Rigorous concepts, grounded delivery
Participatory, visual, and rooted in the world women already know.
TEST · Enterprise Support Team Training
Delivered in three phases, with practical field application between sessions.
The Woman Herself
It begins not with business theory, but with the participant: her relationship with risk, how she responds to it, and the initiative she is ready to take. From there, demand analysis and reading the market.
Technical Feasibility
Production planning, costing, and quality control, turning an idea into a workable, well-priced enterprise.
External Linkages
Market building, credit linkage, and long-term viability monitoring to sustain the enterprise beyond the training room.
GMT · Grassroots Management Training
An intensive 3–4 day journey, built around women's context and learning pace.
- 1What entrepreneurship means, and how it differs from labour
- 2Generating ideas, and testing whether they hold real potential
- 3Feasibility as a practical, lived process
- 4How markets work, what drives demand, and how to position a product
- 5Production planning, costing, pricing, and breakeven
- 6Building her own business plan, guided first, then on her own
By the end, women leave not just with knowledge, but with something concrete in their hands: their own business plan.
Built around your ground reality
No two communities are the same. Beyond our core programmes, we design need-based customised trainings, beginning with a close dialogue with each partner. The content, language, and delivery are shaped to fit, not the other way around.
A growing library of animated videos for low-literacy, rural communities
Designed for high engagement and retention, where attention spans and data access may be limited.

Sustainable Agriculture & Livelihoods
It starts with a Training Needs Assessment
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all. Every engagement begins with a TNA: prospective organisations complete a specialised questionnaire, which our programme staff evaluate to tailor the curriculum and materials to the specific local context and participants, ensuring training stays relevant and resources are used well.
Our partners in learning
For three decades, we have been a trusted training and capacity-building resource for government bodies, international foundations, and grassroots NGOs, each partnership built on a shared belief that lasting change starts with the people closest to the ground.
