Udyogini's
approach is based on a model of capacity building for women
that differentiates between stages of income generation, as
women first take steps towards livelihood security, and then
towards enterprise growth. Udyogini's programs are consistent
with this model, with services geared to different elements
and stages of capacity building for grassroots women (from
the bottom-up), with a simultaneous thrust in market development
for products and services. The approach is strategic; a limited
number of activities are thoroughly researched for scale and
promoted.
